Mine is 28mm, and now we have decent weather and I can put the roof down , I can now hear the modification more clearly. I love it! Doesn't sound loud, just a proper sports car sound.

I've heard that people who have effectively bypassed their back boxes completely suffer from drone and a very boomy, loud exhaust note.

I cannot recommend this mod enough!

Who's Rob, better not tell Ray yeah we can do it for you any sat, but we only have enough pipe to do one more 28mm and this is promised to a member, we have 22mm and 32mm or you can bring your own pipe, may have some more 28mm next month but can't be sure,

I use my S2000 daily on motorways & country lanes, I like the mod and real sports car sound but don't want the drone at high speed.
What is the best size to go for?

Well I haven't heard other sizes other than on videos, but my 28mm does not drone whatsoever. You can hear a slight rasp under half throttle and a nice growl at full throttle, but this really only when you have the roof down. Roof up or hardtop and it's so subtle, I can't hear it over my induction kit.

I use mine as a daily too and it's not intrusive for everyday driving, but has enough rasp for a weekend blat!!

...Secondly, I've found a garage in Southern-England happy to do it. They're called Wrex Racing, based south of Oxford not far from M4.

Website here for address/contact details etc

Any idea how much they are charging for this mod to the exhaust?
Did they mention if they could do more than one at once?
I have contacted them and they are charging £240 to take exhaust off, do the mod and put back on. Is this reasonable?

I got the same quote. They can forget it at that price. It's cheaper for me to drive the 150 miles to Ang and Ray. I've seen the exhaust removed from my own car when I had the DMS Pro65R fitted and it took 10 mins to get it off and a further 20 minutes to fit the DMS. They reckon 4 hours!
Maybe they plan to use a one-armed midget to do the work?

£240 is very steep for what they are doing. Typical that the firm close to me want silly money. I'm in no hurry so I'll carry on looking, or I might get a second exhaust of eBay and have a go at DIY'ing it
