Glad you asked this question. Had mine for almost 3 years now and was wondering whether or not to go for the extended warrantly. I only do about 4k miles a year and the comments you've mentioned from your dealer certainly makes me think it might not be worth it.

That said, any other experiences would be useful to hear.

ps - Can;t believe its now 3 years since I got the car. Still as excited about driving it now as I was the day I collect it !!!

I'll be in a similar position later in the year so am curious as to what the pros and cons are of the Honda extended warranty. Why do the prices vary so greatly or is it dealer specific?

Thanks for raising this drotoscope

I bought my car from a honda uk dealer and its come with 1 year full honda warranty. After two weeks of ownership the roof started leaking so booked it in to avonvale honda and they said that all trim and interior isnt covered because i havent got a good enough warranty. Apparently Honda UK supply two different ones and ive got the cheap one.

Drotoscope - there is a list of what is covered and what isnt. I made the sales guy print me one off their intranet before i left so i know where to go next time i get a problem! (not that there will be a problem - touch wood!)

I've just taken a 2 year extended warranty on my nearly 3yo, I read the bumph and have the better version with Honda assist, shop around since prices do vary, quote your local dealer what you've seen here, it may persuade him to do you a deal. Ask for a copy of the terms and conditions before you buy it'll let you see what's covered.

Interesting reading so far...........
I was told also about 2 warranties but was informed that the only difference was the cheaper one excluded breakdown cover........

I will call a few other dealers and see what the response is......

Unusual for discs and pads to be covered Billybiker.. That must be a top of the range package..
