Default extended warranty

I've seen a few posts in the past about it being £250 for a year. Can I purchase this from any dealer, is there one which does best deal for members?

A couple of dealers post here regularly, jody and Davey_2.

I'm pretty sure they contributed to some of the recent threads, so drop them a PM or call Brayley Honda Hemel and ask to speak to David (I don't know where jody works I'm afraid.)

I was told recently that this is a rrp, and dealers can charge less if they wish. May be worth calling a few or I can PM you the dealer I spoke to (re my wife's Civic but the principle is the same).

My warranty had just run out so I got a letter from Honda quoting £350 - this was just a few weeks ago. A quick call to Davey at Bramley Honda and I took it out for £250. I don't think you can get better than that...

From what I can gather the cost of a 1 year warranty to a dealer is £200

The dealer then add their margin

£250 seems pretty good

I got mine from Davey last year as Two Mills offered me £400 per year & Lookers Honda in Liverpool (Lightfoot now or some thing like that) offered the 20% S2KUK discount coming in at £320 per year.

When you consider that you have full AA cover as part of that £250 per year it is a really good price IMO.

I got mine for £650 for 3 years with 10 Months Interest Free Credit.
That was from Avonvale Honda.
As others have said, this includes Full AA cover inc Europe so is a really good price if you ask me.

The extended warranty I had with mine (I did not buy it, was left over) was a 3rd party and not worth the paper it was written on. Is the 'Honda' one different, is it even Honda's?

All the paperwork for mine is on Honda headed paper, all references are to Honda and when I had to call out the AA last December due to my battery being dead as it was as cold as the North pole the number you dial is a Honda happiness number. I can't see Honda selling a non Honda warranty although some other manufactures may do this.
