Extra cooling
I am considering putting a fan in the engine bay, I have plenty of room because of using a CAi system.
My thought is to put this on the NSF flitch panel with a 5" foil hose plumbed from the front bumper air vent up to the hole where you normally reach in to change headlamp bulbs. This would feed the fan with cool air. I am hoping to push hot air out of the bay down to the belly pan area.
I may even put a few washers under the bonnet hinges to lift the rear of the bonnet, thus letting the heat out.
As they say, with the S, displacement is better than replacement!
Anyone else done this????

Just fit a carbon cold air feed to the intake? Its all around gulping hot air, so as long as the intake pipes dont get hot and its not drinking warm air, it should be fine.
Not so sure a fan is a good idea myself...

I've got a Comptech airbox that insulates well, and a big hole in the bonnet next to the charger.

Didn't know they kangaroo even more in the hot?
Was thinking of driving naked with the GF on my lap, get in some traffic and let it rock!
There is a lot of evidence to suggest that it mainly occurs when you pull to a stop after a hrad run, or if you are sat in traffic. It gets damn hot in that engine bay, worse than any car I have had I would say.
I also have some voltage logs from the map sensor when the hesitation happens, and they are all over the place. This would in turn screw up the fuelling, and cause it to bounce about. Once you do pull away and get some cooler air in, it goes away. I didnt ever log the intake temp so could have an effect too, as that sensor inouts to the fuelling.
There are also a lot of people who have cured mr skippy by fitting cold air feeds etc.

are there any simple mods to the standard car that would be worth considering. Ive heard of taking off the air box lid but im not really into making it loud just a more efficent drive machine. Looked at the heat shield last night is that worth modifing?
