Okay, Ill be needing some rubber soon, and recall (perhaps) reading that F1's were not available any more, is this right or wrong??
Answers on the back of a postcard to arrive no later than 20th of November please.

Correct (or at least in the size you need for the rear, anyway) - although you may find that some places still have a few left in stock, so it might be worth a few calls around.

Toyo Proxes seem to be a well-regarded better all-weather tyre and a decent successor to the F1 (although possibly a bit shorter-lived)

6500rpm I take it your car is fixed?

So what was the damage?

If you want F1's and they are not available anymore, why not just get some 18's because they are available for those size.

Toyo proxy T1-S are pretty much as good as.
I think Mr T is right. Their life is slightly shorter, probably down to a softer compound. However this is effectively off-set by the slightly lower price.
