Default F20c Crankshaft - stroker kit

Hi Guys

Can someone point me in the right direction for a replacement crankshaft please. Ive sourced all seals, caskets, and parts required for a rebuild but the cranks I've came across are to expensive. Also anyone installed 2.4 stroker kit?

Thanks in advance

Spoon do a stroker kit, I also think Brian crower do one too. I don't think crankshaft and stroker kits come in the same sentences as the word cheap though

You'd be better off importing an F22C and then selling your F20C.

There is problems using stroker kits, although you will gain a little by putting a 2.2 crank in there its not a massive gain.If you go to 2.4 you realistically need to knock 1000 rpm off your redline to maintain any kind of long term reliability plus you will need to slot the bottom of the sleeves for crank throw clearance.

Knock 1k off your redline and keep the stock gearing and you are looking at knocking. 15-20 mph off your top speed. The real gains with a stroker kit are to be had if you are boosted because you can also go for low comp pistons and not really lose any low down off boost power because of the extra displacement.

Thanks for input guys, I lost track of this post so I do apologise for the late response. My current crank is supposedly 17 thou out. i am considering have it reground to 20 thou and the appropriate shells to accommodate this, plus a full gasket set. I was wondering how much a 2.4 stroker kit would come in at but having shopped around I don't think this is an option as its to expensive. I plan on rebuilding the engine and dropping it back into the car, keeping costs as low as possible. Any ideas on the total cost. I'm going to call honda next week for a price on a new crank , for a laugh!

Thanks

The F20C doesn't respond well to rebuilds - don't know why, but it'll likely be cheaper to buy another engine than rebuild and have it go pop again.

It's rehoning the FRM liners which is the issue.

You can just replace the FRM liners with Darton sleeves though to get around this issue.
