Default Facelift Taillight Conversion

Anyone done this with/without the Hardtopguy's conversion kit?

I've found a good step by step guide here How-To: AP2 Tail Light Conversion but am wondering if it's worth paying appx £140 to get the Hardtopguy's conversion kit AP2 Tail lamp conversion kit

Thanks

I did mine for free if that helps. Not sure what his kit includes but all I needed was tools to cut the chassis where the new lights interfere. And a soldering iron and some heatshrink.

The cutting looks pretty straight forward, it's the cutting/shaping of the connectors I was a little more concerned about (see original link). I'm assuming as you soldered yours, you had the connectors from the Facelift car as well.

The kit comes with the wiring connectors, Gaskets, Template, bracket and instructions.

Why bother? tail lights are tail lights, prefacelift and facelift are both better than those stupid Audi look-a-like lights which kids are putting on these days.

You're making a prefaclift into a bad facsimile of a facelift, stop it.
