Default Feels Down on Power

Hi All, anybody any thoughts on my problem, the car runs fine but just seem a little less responsive over the last few days, could it be the weather?. PS the car is totally standard by the way, apart from the Driver whos wife constantly informs him theres somthing not right about him

Hot weather reduces performance.

YEs it will reduce performance slightly, i've noticed as much as an 8BHp drop on a dyno in hot weather 24c ambient.

It will probably have slightly less 'go'.

I've lost 30 bhp on the Evo due to the weather, so think yourself lucky!

Warm air is less dense to you get less combustion effect for the same volume of cold air.

That's why I love driving on crisp, cool and sunny winter mornings

Get a CAI to reduce the effect, or stab the pedal on the right a bit harder.

Could you run hoses from your airvents with the aircon on and direct the pipes into the front of the CAI?

I dare someone to try it

There is a major flaw with that idea, but I CBA to mention it.

I've been kangarooing like a bitch the past few days. Airbox lid off, mind you, so it's not like I'm not used to it.

Thunder storm outside now, so think I'll go and enjoy some kangaroo-free Vtec action.
