Default Fifth Gear Tonight

Fifth Gear
Channel 5 Mon Oct 11 8:30 PM
(30 min., United Kingdom, Motoring)

Motoring magazine presented by Tiff Needell, Vicki Butler-Henderson, Tom Ford and Adrian Simpson. This week, the ultimate showdown between a Formula One car, a superbike and a racing powerboat, featuring British Formula One hopeful Jenson Button. Jason Plato tests BMW's new 1-series, and Vicki examines the enduring appeal of the Ford Capri.
So that sounds like BAR F1, Honda Fireblade/Blackbird & Honda Powerboat then.

Wonder if Plato will get an M series BMW 1 to test?

Does it exist?

Saw one the other day 1.6i (wooo!). Managed to time my smirk and sad shake of the head with the driving looking at me!

'Yes mate, I do think it's an fugly car!'

They'll still sell shedloads of them. Some people can't see past a badge.

The world is becoming obsessed by labels.

I had a look at a one series a few weeks back.

Looked better built than anything else around at the moment IMO, Audis included.

As for looks, S included, there aren't many modern cars, outside of supercars, that look anything much to me.

At least BMW dealers treat you like a customer.

Not quite on the subject of fugly, but am I the only one who doesn't go weak at the knees at the sight of VBH?

The words 'nothing special' come to mind. In the context of the adoring fan club.

But, as ever, each to their own.

Never thought of her as attractive.

She's certainly not the most stunning bird, but when you've grown up watching people like Tiff Needell, Quentin Wilson and that bloke with a beard and really annoying voice who used to present Top Gear, then VBH does seem like Cindy Crawford in comparison.
