Default Finally got one but....

Hi all, after weeks of searching and one huge balls up (by the garage) I finally have my05 s2000 GT sat on my driveway. However, I've just taken it out on it's maiden voyage and I have discovered a rather nasty vibration when accelerating in all gears between about 40mph to 55mph. The engine was well warmed up and it doesn't sound ill but there's certainly something wrong. Before I bought the car I had a full AA check carried out, on which the AA man took it for a 10 mile test drive and noticed nothing wrong, nor did I on the test drive. Cars under warranty but still really hope it's nothing serious.

Any Suggestions gratefully received.

Car came from the other side of the country, delivered by transporter today. As I say It does have a 12 month platinum warranty but it's just a huge pain in the ass.

Inner cv joints is likely cause, though may be something else. If it is, expect new replacements as opposed to just swapping them over.

If its only at a certain speed and doesn't get worse on acceleration it could just be out of balance wheels.

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a tire construction issue (Toyo TR1's). As soon as the tyre got below 4mm the vibration went.

Nail in the tyre tread. Or anyone of another 1000 possibilities. Tell the dealer to sort it out.

Fron the other side of the country, not S2000-4U I hope.

They seem to have a habit of letting you test drive with decent tyres, then swaping them for c**p.
