Default Finally, I've bought another S....

Hi guys..

Well as you can see, I've been lurking about for a little while and trying my best to find a decent S. So today, the search was over and i've put a sizeable deposit down on a gorgeous Berlina 02 plate (revised model). It really needs nothing, was a pleasure to drive and has been a garage queen for its last 3 years. I was completely gobsmacked that it had 70k, felt like 10k miles on it and was as tight as a nut.
Once i'm used to driving one of these again, i'll be having it undersealed first of all. Then i'm planning a trip down to CG after Chrimbo to get all Poly bushed up and geo'd. Its got complete Honda history and plenty of tax and test on it. The usual tiny tears at the roof corners (not bad at all and drains into holes) and a minute ding near the petrol cap. But a credit to its owner, the elderly gentleman has really cared for it and not even moved 1mm off the new Bridge re050a's.
Pics to come on Wednesday when I take delivery.. Now its time for me to become a fully paid up member and enjoy being back in the fold again

The one in Hereford was an embarassement IMO to the badge. Supposedly an ex-member on here but really, it was in terrible condition despite the listing saying it was in excellent condition. It doesn't surprise me that it wasn't listed on here for sale, otherwise it would have caused a thread about its shoddyness. Anyway, enough said about that, but I was certainly wise enough to walk away and I'm hoping no-one else wastes their time like I did.

Yes defo Paul. Looking forward to a Trough run following you guys very soon (i'll get left behind no doubt lol)
CG will be on the menu, I'm gonna assess the bushes this week and lift her off the ground.

Next warm weather snap at the weekend, we shall meet for a run. No doubt, it will be the Suzuka that will be the loudest lol

Nice one Toe. Looking forward to seeing this one in the flesh. Well done for walking away from that dog in herefordshire (nothing more annoying when someone lies over the phone about a cars condition when they know you are travelling a long way to view ). Just proves the right car was waitin around the next corner. The yellow one on here was stunning but Alas it was not for Wigan

I can see Trough runs now being a regular outing for us three

I think trough runs a must, cannot wait. Im wondering whether I should buy a hardtop fitting kit, just in case I can get my hands on a berlina roof

You've been influential on getting me back into the fold, as has Paul and I can't thankyou enough :-D I can't passenger the trough runs forever eh!

Just picked the S2000 up, a great drive back from St Martins, North Wales.... roof down all the way 55 miles in the dark I must have looked like a right Bellend, who cares...

Sure I could here a little rattle (tct) when I started her up on the drive half an hour ago, but it won't re-appear on revs or idle. Looks like I will need to order a new one at some point this year or early next, as it will only get worse if it is TCT. Probably the piston in it is a little worn and could do with changing. Also the semi-synth Morris Oil will be changed shortly for the real deal Helix Ultra, nice big tub of that in the garage.

Other than that, cannot wait to remove the swirls, you can easily see them in the dark. Some buffing required if we manage to get an Indian summer anytime soon. Thanks to Baz for the lift down in his beautiful Berlina s2000, loving the expensive carpets and 09 seats. I need a spoiler like yours, son! And Jess has said she wants a Berlina roof for ours... Women!

Reg plate changing to my name S200 *** in 2 weeks when the paperwork comes through. Hilarious reg plate "FOK"... meet the Focker!

Well and truly in the Fold now

Looks great Tony, unspoiled and very tidy welcome aboard

I quite like the number plate

Oh and I would have enjoyed the drive over with you, but I was working until late that day unfortunately.
