Default Fire Extinguisher

Does anyone have one of these in there S?

I have been given one free, it didn't come with any kind of bracket or mounting apparatus, so I am kind of thinking if its worth putting in the car, and if so where. Do I buy a bracket for it and put it in the passenger footwell or put it in the boot or do I just forget it and leave it out, after all I don't recall ever seeing a car on fire overthe last 10 years.

Plus it does nothing for power to weight.

Mine came with it fitted as standard (from Belgium) ... removed it (and the bracket).

Why?

1) I really took up space in the footwell
2) It looked sh!t
3) Are car fires really that common? Would the puny little thing really help?

I believe that the straps just inside the boot door are intended to hold a fire extinguisher.

I always wondered what those straps were for... they aren't for any fir extinguisher. In the case of a blow out, those straps are used to hold the punctured tyre in place - it's in the manual!!!
