Default First scratch!

Oh dear...just discovered the first scratch! As we were putting on the hard top, the back end dipped and it looks like the back window smacked against the bodywork.

As I was just closing the petrol cap I saw this long mark just behind the rear window...damn...about 6 inches long, not too deep, but you can feel the scratch.

After a few tears, on the girlfriends side - she was really scared about lifting the roof on and off as she didn't want to mark the car - and a little chat, we're fine.

It's just that moment of the first scratch. I'm gutted!

awww
It's not her fault, these things happen
It's yours! for having a hardtop!

Is it fillable or a trip to a body shop?

If you post in the scottish micromeet thread you might get some local recommendations, most of the S2KJocks subscribe to that thread (just don't mention the HT)

Got a new scratch , thanx to a fat biatch who couldn't get out of the her car without making contact with my side....

Why do u think i park my car awaaaaaay from everyone else ?? somehow people just seem to gravitate , assuming that there's a lesser chance of their cars being nicked ...

Sorry, got slightly off tangent ...feel much better now ... thanx for the attention

Thanks for the sympathies, and I totally understand the parking issue Rocephin. I had that with the previous car, some white vehicle had smacked mine with their door - a huge hit as well, full force.

I was drunk one night and started scouring the white cars in the car park for a white car with blue paint marks on the door, no idea what I was going to do! Never found it though.

So far I've been lucky without any hits, apart from the HT. There are a few smaller scratches which are hardly noticeable, but this bigger one is down a few layers of paint and you can feel it with your nail.

Not sure if I should go to the expense of sorting it, or just live with it. There are going to be more, it's a fact of life.

...and I didn't blame my girlfriend, I've spent ages consoling her!

I've just noticed a dent in my rear wing
no idea where that came from but it wasn't on the car before I put it in to the dealer.
Course I'll have a hard time proving it....

Can anything be done about these kinds of dents?

Look on www.yell.com for the Dentmaster-type of firms.
They'll visit to your home and quote you first, then do it.
They are not outrageously priced.
Alternatively, ask your own Honda dealer to out you in touch with the one they use and do as mentioned above.
Good luck. It is not the end of the world, but may cost you
