Default Fitting Cusco Front Lower

Have fitted the cusco front upper, rear lower and front lower today following instructions by havoc UK here:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry9972289

he didn't fit a front lower cusco bar so maybe its different to the Muz one in the bolts its uses, but the bolts the cusco one uses are not shown on the subframe diagram in the service manual page 20-114. The holes are but no nut and no torque value.

I've searched high and low in the manual but cant find them - is it possible that there is no maintenance activity which requires them to be removed? Are they part of the engine mounting suports.

Anyway - heres a picture of the 2x nuts/bolts. If you can find the torque values or a page reference I'd be very happy.

Thanks, Gavin

If you are having trouble finding exact results, take an estimated guess.

Look at what size the threads are (M12 or M14) and compare it with another bolt/nut of that size.

My guess is about 90ft/lbs

They need a 17mm socket.

I think that the torque value is more down to the duty of the bolt rather than the size. However since holding a stiffening bar was never the original intention for the bolt I guess the OEM value could now be irrelevant?

Looks like is guess time then. 90 seems high though. Thanks

Yeah, 90 is high, but trust me, they need to be tight.

And since your a good boy and have copper greased the bolts, the quoted torque ratings will be no good anyway
