Fixed Rattle and Hello
About 6 months ago after having just got a new MY02 S2K I typed in S2000 into my search engine and landed on this site finding out brilliant info about what oil to use in the first year, the importance of the tyre pressures, what to use to clean the vinyl (not canvas!) hood, where to get these Muz mats that everyone raved about etc, etc etc. Even after all this great info I could not pluck up the courage to register and have spent the past 6 months surfing your site.
So what happened to make me hit the register button.
Well having delivered my car for the oil bolt recall today (a first rate service from Sloan Honda in Edinburgh, remembering to not valet the car as per my request, using the engine additive even though I was only just under the 6,000 miles and leaving the technical bulletins from Honda for me to see in the service documentation) I picked the car up to find a loud and annoying rattle coming from behind the dash (mainly at low speed). The mechanic who specialises in the S2K came out with me and looking worried suggested he would need another day to get in behind the dash to try and find the problem.
Coming home feeling completely sorry for myself (can you imagine the dash not ending up getting scratched or marked no matter how careful the mechanic) I typed in "rattle" to the search engine above and up came a number of previous posts with one wacky suggestion that the rear view mirror or the sun visors could vibrate with a noise that you would stake your life on was coming from behind the dash immediately behind the speedo.
I took the car out with no real hope that this was the problem, the rattle started almost immediately so I put me hand on the r/v mirror and amazingly the noise stopped, took my hand off the mirror and it started. First thing tomorrow I will be on the phone tomorrow asking for a new mirror and speaking to what I suspect will be one relieved mechanic.
So hello from a convert and maybe soon I will get up the courage to go to a Supermeet!.

Hi Timbo. Welcome aboard. Anyone who owns an S and is isn't a member or a lurker at least on this site, is at a severe disadvantage.

If you want to become an 'Owner' rather than a 'Guest'
<--------------------
hit the 'Start 'bottom at the top left then 'Edit Profile'and enter your VIN in the space provided. Once entered. it's encrypted and totally secure. You also get a personal photo album on the board from which to post pics.

Always nice to see more Jocks on the board!

(Check out Roadkills website - he has a good review of the meet we had late last year in Stirling. )

Bigfecker, I think this problem has arisen before and the advice that was given was to drop a short line by PM to cthree or HondaGal (the site owners) explaining the problem and asking them to update the system manually.
