Default Font Skeleton Badge Removal

I received on Friday my black chrome badge kit from HTG. The boot lid badge came off no problem - albeit affixing the new badge won't be the simple job I anticipated as the mounting pins on it are much thicker than the original skeleton badge...

Removal of the front badge looks as though it's going to be a pain - the pins are secured from behind by those hideous press-on washers things. Does anyone have any tips for the easy removal of the font badge?

It looks as though the pins on the new badge are also different to those on the skeleton badge - no provision for the press-on washer things and slightly different spacing. A job for Sikaflex methinks!

TIA

Mark

Yes they are secured from behind with some metal one way grab washers.

hold on tight.... and go for it.

Edit... if you stick your fingers down there - you can feel them. grab them tight.

It is possible to use some small cutters to snip the legs off from behind, this makes it much easier to get the push-nuts off.
