Default Fuel Consumption.

My fuel seems to vanish of its own accord, I seem to be getting 18-20 mpg at the moment even with some steady cruising, it has been suggested that even at the low mileage (12k) for its age that the plugs could do with being replaced, any suggestions? If one of the lambdas is failing wouldn't it throw a cel before it actually fails? hopefully I can sort something before heading for Cheshire next weekend, 700 miles ish in a weekend at 20 doesn't fill my wallet with joy.

Sticking brakes will reduce fuel consumption massively

Lambda wouldn't throw a cell straight away, it would be the first on my list to check

For what it is worth my average over the last 2423.8 miles is 30.94. The car has done 106K and is 12 years old, is in pristine condition and maintained regardless of cost. Having said that it is still cheaper to run than the wife who might only just have the edge on beauty:-)

Primary O2 would be a good thing to swap as a first step for me.

What is your local Honda dealer like ? you could always book it in there rather than just change things and hope they work, that way you should know for sure if all is ok

Cheers.....Tony..
