Fuel Gauge?
Made a short trip to Nottingham 21 miles - 7 bars showing on the gauge - driving slowly - 15 miles in 3 bars - 3.2 miles later 2 bars! 2 miles later 1 bar!! and fuel light on!!! No bars showing buy the time I got there and oops no wallet!!!! I then drove the 21 miles back and then the 4 miles to the petrol station to fill up. Is this normal or do I need to get the gauge checked?

Its just one of the quirks of S2000 ownership

Although a lot of it has to do with moons lunar cycle

i managed 20 miles on the red bar - belive its the last one and filled up still worked out i had 3L left though

Isn't it something to do with pressure change in the petrol tank??
Next time pull over and undo the petrol cap and let it go "psshhh" or whatever it does, and then look at the guage. You'll get a better reading.

Losing 7 bars in 21 miles is unusual IMO.
The display does do some calculating based on how hard you are driving, hence sometimes when you start the car on a few bars, it will actually go up after a few mins of steady driving.
I'd see what it does over the next few tanks.

You can do about 50 steady miles once the light has come on I have found
I usually wait until all my bars are gone before I fill up (like to live dangerously)
Not run out yet
It also seems to affect the reading if you are on a steep incline.
