Default Full red interior

Hi all,

Does the full red interior fade in the sun? My new S arrives next Saturday and Mrs Mabada, whilst v. keen to get the car, is worried that the red might fade to pink ( ) in the sun on the dash and roll hoops especially.

Anyone reassure us? I noticed the passenger airbag cover is a slightly different shade of red on our new one.

Will 303 protectant help prevent any fading?

Cheers,

DB

I had a full red for 3 years, and had to fade.

However, you do need to look after it.

I use Blackfire Interior protectant which stops fading and UVA etc goto this website for more info.

After washing the car I always give the dash a quick wipe with my chammy to get rid of the dust and dirt too.

Full red is the way forward, I loved it!

I want the full red on a moonrock....good to hear it doesn't fade. Will be looking for that soonish.....

I do recommend also the dash shine spray, you can get it from most places and you can even choose what kind of smell. It brings up a nice shine to the dash board and also repels dust and smells great.

Mine's heading for 4 years old this summer and I (alledgedly) live in a place with more sun than most of the UK (yeah, right).

No fade so far and I put the roof down at every opportunity, plus regular runs in the UK and Europe in the summer.

Nada.

And it looks VERY classy with the roof down!

Thats the thing, I tell people I am getting red interior, and they either call me a tart or a woman or just say that it will look horrible!

I think it looks great on the right colour and especially the S2000!
