Default Gauges

Ok. Have done a few modification already and now thinking about gauges. I would like oil temperature (I have supercharged with oil cooler so should be fine but no idea!). AFR or EGT would be the second gauge of choice.

Now I also have a A pillar replacement for 2 gauges but not convinced with the look/impact on view. I have also seen the dash bezels for the JDM sat nav which I may be tempted with - I ma quite happt to cut things up as it is a weekend car/plaything. If I went with the A pillar then the Prosport EVO series look a great match to the main dash.

So the questions are:

Gauges yes or no and if yes where .

Please provide some great photos with your answers.

Oil temp, AFR, using my 2 gauge pod

Neither are required in reality. If your car is mapped well and not going on track, i'm not sure i'd bother.

Autometer are pretty good, or Defi if you want to go posh.

My personal favorite is PLX, which migh avoid physical gauges...

Yes.

A-Pillar.

coolchrisuk recently put gauges in his S and they look superb, although he has an intermittent problem with his SPA gauge

I agree with Mark. They look cool, i'd have an oil temp gauge if i tracked my car a lot.

I'd rather them be out of side so people dont see them, my boost gauge is smoked so you can't see it when ignition is off

Yes - The PLX gauges do look interesting. You can also get a very good match to the S2000 dash but I haven't seen one in operation to see how good the displays are. Maybe I will be a guinea pig

I've got one where the "mode" button is for the audio controls. Very discreet and does the job well
