Default gear change (3rd)

When i am changing up through the gears i feel a very small bite/scrape in the gear stick (no noise, just feeling) when i change into 3rd gear (i only get this feeling sometimes).

I have tried to show a few of my friends but they felt nothing when they drove it... they think i am going mad... am i?

Anyone any ideas what this could be, sorry i just want the car 100% right

So long as you're not rushing the change, it should be OK.

The box does have a lovely mechanical feel to it, especially if you only use one/two fingers.

On the whole I think the S is a fingertip car

I had a problem with third gear engaging occasionally, it felt as if the lever was not clearing the gate.? The service manager tried the car and it happened to him, after a couple of oil changes and linkage alignment checks, I got a nice new shiny gearbox. sorted.

Mine gets a slight notch between 2nd and 3rd but only tends to be on a quicker change. If i slow the change down and 'feel' it into 3rd it doesnt do it. Sounds like the same thing, but i'm pretty used to it now. Worried me at first but posted on here when i got mine.

It also does this from 4th to 5th if your changing at very high revs.
