Default Gear & Diff oils

what oils do i need for the box and diff?

i have no idea if they have even been changed so they are getting done

AE mentioned the redline brand?

do a search fellai cant remember the grade, though i recommend motul.

oil - personally every 8k

diff oil - probably about every 20k

diff oil every year - cheap and easy to do
Gearbox as above.

Redline MTL for the gearbox and 75w90 gear oil for the diff.

Im using Honda MTFIII.

Designed by Honda for Honda gearboxes.

Diff I'm using Castrol Syntrax 75w90 Synthetic

Speak to some of the guys on here that sell Motul, I think they can sell you a whole kit of oils to do your whole car, I got mine from Lloyd, you could PM him to ask.

Dark Blue Mark also recommends Motul and I think he works in the Oil industry... confirm that Mark, either way, he's very knowledgeable.

I changed the Diff and Gearbox oil myself, it wasn't that difficult at all, I used a one man brake bleed kit to force the oil in - very handy.

One thing to note is that Honda dealers tend not to change the Diff oil, even if they tick it on the service sheet. Probably the best way to find out is if they charged you for the oil on the Invoice.

diff - 0.74 l (0.78 US qt, 0.65 Imp qt) at oil change
box - 1.48 l (1.56 US qt, 1.30 Imp qt) at fluid change

how much are those in litres?

edit... are those first figures litres? so i need 3 bottles in total?

youll need just under 2 bottles (1 bottle = 1 litre) of motul for the diff, 1.9 litre i put in mine.

what the **** does "diff - 0.74 l" mean then if it needs 1.9 liters!
