Default Geometry clarification - grip/turbo

I have a turbo setup running a reasonable amount of power, at this moment in time it's running standard geometry settings.

I'll be getting better tyres in time (they just about cope when warm), however I believe that adjusting geometry can give me a little more grip and stability at the expense of tyre wear?also changing the front settings is beneficial. I'm willing to accept increased tyre wear but at the same time don't want to go through tyres every 2k and massively affect handling etc.

Can anyone recommend any full settings?

Is it the more negative camber the more grip? I'm thinking I read -2 on rears and - 1.5 on fronts?

Thanks

If you are just doing straight lines then you want max tyre contact, ie less camber, so I think -2 degrees is unnecessary. More -ve camber does not = more grip unless you are talking hard cornering.

But depends on tyre size and what you plan to do with the car.

Hi Mark,

Car will never see a track, straight lines for sure but I don't want it to be a dog in the corners either.

So you're saying run like near 0 rear camber?

What do you recommend as a full set up?

I have braces coming front and rear lower not they will make much difference.

Cheers

No I wouldn't advise zero.

Try the OEM settings if it were me.

Will you have rear toe arms?

Chaps,

I'm on standard everything about from springs.

I'm currently on oem 2004 geo settings so maybe I can really improve what I'm on at the moment?

Sorry.

I'm on standard toe arms etc just running tein springs.

I'm running 2004 oem geometry settings so I guess I can't really improve on it grip wise?

Geo wise probably not. There's always a trade off but if you prioritise grip over cornering, while still having decent cornering ability then OEM settings would be what i'd go for.

If you have 245 rears and do too much with the camber you will just lose straight straight line traction due to tyre contact being less than optimum.

Not sure how the dynamic rear toe will react with 500 bhp though!

Toe is also important for stability, so don't go crazy with that.
