hi. its the time of year where i need a mot and service. But also wanting diff and gearbox fluid change. Anyone no the going rate all in for mot, interim service diff and gear oil change?

 

Many Honda dealers throw in a free MOT with a service, but as you want specific items (the fluid changes) you're best off giving them a call. You're probably looking somewhere around £200 or so if you choose to go that route. Most likely less from an independent.

 

My last service with Honda consisted of
Oil and oil filter change
Gearbox oil change
Air filter and pollen filter change
New spark plugs
I went to Honda because I wanted to maintain the service book record - Honda charged £155 for the labour, and the stamp in the book
I bought all the consumables myself costing £150.

Service interval for the differential is long before the gearbox.

i dont know when the gearbox and diff was last done and ive owned the car 2 years. just called honda and they want to charge me 405 quid! i was also thinking is it a good idear to get the valve clearances done aswell.

 

so just got off the phone from andy reeve performance which is a specialist in kings lynn. quoted 290 for a mot, service diff and gearbox oil change. They want another 190 quid for valve clearances, this sounds hefty to me?
