Default Gonna test drive the NSX

Okay a week Sunday I will be test-driving the Honda NSX, 3.2 litre manual From Chiswick Honda. More interested in comparison between that and the S2000, hopefully have a few B roads to try it on once its warmed up. What points should I look out for in the car? Such as handling on motorways compared to B roads? How well does it stick in the dry/wet? I'm told the S is a much more raw in your face car, is that true? Are the gearbox, clutches between the two similar? We do a lot of motorway driving, the S being our only car. My problem is over long distances (over 200 miles) the S fatigue kicks in; there is a lot of cabin noise. It

The NSX I drove from Chiswick Honda was not what I would call relaxed compared to the S. I found it to be extremely quick with superb dry grip (not sure about the wet but it does have TC to keep you safe). I only did a few miles on the motorway but seem to remember it being as noisy as the S.

Great car all round but if felt cramped compared to the S.

Let us know how you get on!

Nah, Steve isn't in london, he's on the suburbs. Just to correct you Sammy, anything over 20MPH, this is London were talking about!!

Steven on the other hand to quote a recent PM;

"The whole journey is about 420miles depending on route and I have normally do it in between 4.5 to 6 hours" now THAT is FAST

I'm similar stature to Steven so the S is comfortable, its on motorways you got rumble from tires, noise from the constant VTEC engine and wind noise. It's not a quiet journey.
Arran meet is coming up soon so that should be interesting; 420 mile trip.

I'm sure Welshman can tell you what to look for. Or your could save yourself the bother of driving it and just ask his opinion

I am undertaking a trip of 3200 miles in July around Europe and doing all this in 5 days. I know the S is comfortable for me and therefore no hesitation in taking it. I will let you know how I get on in my mission. I think my other half might get uncomfortable even though she is little.

The traction control on the earlier NSXs is very rudimentary. Not sure about the newer models though.

I've driven an NSX to Le Mans and it is more raw than the S but not mega raw. If you get uncomfortable in the S on long journeys then you might find the NSX too much. The noise is more raw and louder as it is right behind your head - but what a lovely sound it is
