Default is this good or bad

from the honda new section.

Popularity of the S2000 roadster has continued, with the model enjoying its most successful year in Britain - with sales running neck-and-neck with the Audi TT Coupe in 2004.

does this mean the tt isnt selling very well

also if the s becomes a bit more popular will this help second hand values.

and soon there will be more my04s than all the other marks put together, perhaps

message ends

I think its great.

Obviously I love the fact that there are not too many S2000's on the roads has this not good for future deveopments. If the S2000 has increased sales this late on in its life it should show Honda that they need to continue to develop the car as there is clearly a market for a new one.

TT sales have slumped as the new version comes out this year though the number of S2k 04 sales has gone up a fair bit too. The more on the road the less of a premium they will have second hand though compared to the TTs etc. Good for buyers but not so good for trade ins.

An S3200 (using the NSX engine) would be nice, but they'll probably design a new car around a whole new engine, so who knows what capacity they'll give it. I doubt it'll be a two litre, as Honda have all different ones in the:
  • Integra Type R (DC05) - 220bhp
  • Civic Type R - 200bhp
  • S2000 - 240bhp.
And that's just the quick ones! Preludes and Accords also have other lesser two litre engines in, so I'd say they'll build a new roadster around something larger. Could be a 3 litre, could be a 3.2 to help with torque against the Boxster S. Who knows?

I just hope they come up with something!

They won't come up with a new car at all!

already have a 2.3/2.4 lr engine with around 240bhp for the next civic, could probably run that up to 260bhp for a s2000 revision/replacement

But wont this engine be facing the 'wrong' way?

make it mid engined or they can probably turn it round and move the gearbox depending on the configuration.
