Proportionally, the Boxter is in fact a tall NSX with a more rounded boot!

The next thing I noticed was the time the S2000 takes to warm up, I was in 3 blocks and ready to in no time, I am half way to work before the Boxster gets out of the Blue.
Are you comparing water temperature (S2000) with oil temperature (Boxster)?

I ask as one of the most common mistakes by S2000 drivers is thinking that their engine has warmed up when the water temperature gauge comes up to 3 bars (on pre 04 cars, about 7 or 8 or post 04 cars).

Oil temperature still takes about 5-10 minutes in the S2000.

I still the Boxster, I know I get stick for having one and never let out of junctions but in all honesty the car drives so well the negative side doesn't effect me too much infact sometimes funny i.e 3 chavs stood round a Corsa with the tailgate open playing Xbox 360 from the boot (huh?) turned and shouted poor mans Porsche!! Oh I would so give up my Boxster to have a Corsa with a TV and games console... NOT

Back to the question, I love both cars so it is my intention to find a cheap S2000 to turn into a track car and keep the Boxster as a daily driver.

don't waste your time and money, buy a caterham. A far more involving drive on the track.
