Default Greasing the Suspension Bolts?

I am thinking of greasing the suspension bolts as my car is 6 months old and has to be fair not seen too much rain water but will over the winter. I have seen and printed off the FAQ but has anyone else on here done it? Was it easy? Did you need anything special (eg tools)? And lastly did it take long?

I have a 2 tonne trolley jack, and axle stands so covered from that perspective. I will take it the 3 miles to the nearest Honda dealer ( they have the equipment) for the geo or possibly 20 miles to my preferred tyre place (Protyres of Bristol). Is there any issue with driving that far with the geo all out???

Thanks in advance

Rob

As soon as I got mine I sprayed all the bushes with hot Waxoyl. Because it's solvent based it does tend to creep into small spaces. Now I'm not saying this will work but I'll let everybody know in a couple of years if the adjustment still works. Whatever it's not going to be as good a removing and greasing the bolts but it only took 30 mins to do.

i had my hub nuts greased and re torqued to 220lbs, made bugger all difference to me but i am sure it does something.

they also did all the bushes at the same time which did make a difference.

I asked my stealer to do it before I properly researched what was involved in doing it properly.

They just smeared grease all over every bolt head on the suspension

Copperease would be my favoured grease for this. The copper in the otherwise normal grease gives it anti-seize properties.

Take a look at this stuff. I use it on engines, suspension - anywhere you want to stop corrosion. It's recommended for spraying on to brake discs when the car is left for some time - when you drive away it just burns off.
