Default Ground clearance question?

Hoping to get s2k in next few months...

We are also hoping to buy a house which has quite a steep drive down to the garage - can anyone tell me what the ground clearance of the car is (preferably with a driver!).

Would it be similar clearance to my prelude?

If it is i can test the prelude down the drive - if that doesn't 'hog' then the s2k should be ok.

Your help will be much appreciated...

The ground clearence isn't too bad, but I'd check first. Ask the dealer if he can organise a test drive at your house so you can try it.

I used to drive mine onto a roof top carpark. The slope scared me off for years - I was sure it would bottom out - then one day I decided to try it (or I'd have to park on the road) so I gave it a go. No problems, but bottomed out when I turned in too quickly one day

I have the same problem with mine and didn't cofirm the order until the dealer drove the car into the garage as I was unwilling to risk his car.

I can't park nose-in anymore because of the front skirt but reverse parking is not a problem at all.

If you give us your rough location someone would most likely pop round and prove it.

Thanx for the reponse guys.

4.5 inches clearance in 'standard' trim? The Prelude is 4.75 at its lowest point as far as I can make out - mostly more than this.

Think I'll try and get a dem car and test it, rather than wing it by trying the prelude and hoping (we havn't exchanged contracts on this place yet). Location Petersfield/ West Meon Hampshire.

Hope it doesn't come down to house or car!

I'll keep u posted...

Suggestion:

Get the Prelude lowered to 4" and try it
Load it with heavy stuff and/or remove some air from the tyres.

Dont forget to inflate after.
