Default Grr... boot opening with remote!

My car has irritated me this week... (But I still love her to bits!)

Why is it when you want to use the double press option on the remote fob to open the boot it works maybe 2 out of 10 times you try but when you are coming back to your car and accidentally press the button twice you end up driving off with the boot open!!

I have some how managed to do this twice this week.. drive off and can not see out of the rear view because my boot is open... TSK!!!

I must have the gremlin too because I have the same problem. But then again my timing on the dance floor also stinks.
