Default Gutted.... :(

There was me, giving my00 a good old wash yesterday, once i finished that I thought let me pull it into the garage to check all my fluids etc, i couldnt get it all the way in as I had all my tools out and stuff from fitting my ice.... as i clambered into the car to take it out (it was a tight squeeze to get in to the car as i didnt want to bash the doors on the wall) I had the remote for the door in my pocket and as i slipped into the seat, my mobile must of pushed the remote button and to my horror the door started to come down, it all happened in slow motion and before i could say bo11ocks the door came down hitting the center of the bonnet and actually pushed the car down, the overide sensor cut in and lifted it back up......gutted, i couldnt even get out the car quick enough as i would of smashed the door into the wall. Now i have a nice dent in the middle of the bonnet, I would post pictures but cant. It could of been alot worse if it wasnt for a locking bolt in the middle of the door, it only caused a small dent rather than a big long crease....

Dentmasers here I come......!!

Nearly happened to me a couple of times.

Once I let the Missus out of the car and she must have accidentaly pressed the button as she was going for her house keys,

I just get the nose in when the door starts to come down, I give at a bit of gas and a LOT of brake, but just made it indiana Jones style.

Makes me very careful now.....

Yet another reason for me to abandon my grand plans to automate my garage door

Just thinking, aren't the ridges on the wings higher than the bonnet? I'm surprised only the bonnet got hit.

The bonnet must be quite well sprung I imagine, so I don't how easy it might be to press out a dent - hope it works out.
