Default Hard Top ditch it!

Driving the last couple of month with the hard top on has made me feel like I don't need the S and maybe I should try another car. The hard top looks good but the rattles and squeeks drive me to insane so this morning I looked out of the window and thought to myself , its time for the HT to be removed. Anyway my mate helped me take it off then I took him home, canvas up as he is a wuss and said it was too cold for the top down !! First thing I notice is no squeeks or rattles , nothing at all just the engine noise and this is music to my ears as I hate rattles. Drop him off then roof down . Wow what a difference , sell this car !!! you are joking . Wind rushing through my , hair , the PRM sounding fantastic, lots of tail out action at turns and roundabouts, what a difference. Hard top will never go on again. If it was my daily drive then yes but I only use it at weekends so no point.

Fell in love with the car again , fantastic

All you need do now Jamie is change those tractor wheels and get a Silverstone and you'll truly understand what driving an S is all about.

This will lead you to an automotive love affair.

Will never ditch the wheels , those 18 proper low profile tyres keep me on the road even in the wet .

As for Silverstone, why would I want a car colour that the majority of England drive

Its nice to be a little bit different

Kelk has a thing about my wheels , I reckon he is jealous and it must be hard when your girlfriend has an extra inch

I can see your point about taking the roof off giving you a buzz about the car again.

I still like mine with the 'top on though, and I'm fortunate that mine neither squeaks or rattles (yet).

Mine stopped being my daily driver about a month ago but I'm still going to leave the hardtop on for another month or two yet.

I'm hoping for a huge buzz when I take it back off.

its not that on the silver ones they come with square wheels, as all anybody does with them is look at them.

Mine's not coming off yet, and I'll be sad when it does as the car looks so damn good. Will be nice to get the top down though.
