Default Hardtop Heated Window

Advice Please.
I have a hardtop fitted to MY01 that has a heated rear window. What I dont have is the means to operate the thing, ie a switch - albeit I know where it should go.

I see that some fitting kits come with a switch, but what do I need to make mine work? I presume wiring, fuse, a relay? and of course the switch.

Has anyone on here actually done this - how easy/difficult was it?

Do I need to go to Honda to get the bits?

Grateful for any advice

drop Jeff an email and he'll advise you what kit you need.

wiring and relay only probably.

pull up the centre console and panel behind passenger seat to see what you've got already.

I had the same issue 2 weeks ago when i tried to install the hardtop side catchers. Yours is with the plastic rear window right?

The wiring loom for the rear heated window is different for 2000-2001 and for 2002-2005 models. I have a 2004 model and I bought the side catchers and the wiring loom from e-bay for a 2000-2001 and when I fitted I discovered it was wrong.

1) For the 2000-2001 models the wiring loom has also the switch for the heated rear window. You have to check also if the wiring loom connector on the left side catcher that is already fitted in you car is blue color not grey. If it is grey then you need an intermediate loom to transform the grey connector to blue connector to be able to connect it to the 2000-2001 rear heated window wiring loom.

I am waiting for my new 2004 rear heated window wiring loom to arrive and the wrong one I have fitted in my car which is suitable for your model will be up for sale. It is complete with the heated rear window switch. If you want it and you don
