Default Hardtop question?

Hi guys. I'm new around here and will be looking to buy a s2k very soon. However I have a slight question. I heard that some s2k's cannot fit the hardtop roof's. Is that the case? If so does that mean there's no way some soft top models can't fit the hardtop roof's?

Thanks in advance

Welcome

A hardtop can be fitted to every S, but needs a fitting kit.

Have a search for 'hardtop fitting kit' and all will be revealed

Best advice would be to look for the GT version as it should come with a colour coded hardtop and already fitted for.

if you want a hardtop buy one with one - it'll be cheaper

you'll pay anything upto £1k to a none gt - the kit is £400+ used

If you do buy a GT, make sure you either:
a/ get the hardtop stand and cover with it (normally not included)
b/ have a spare room / nice relative or parent that'll let yo ukeep it in a spare room.

I've got a GT, and the hardtop stays on for like, 2 months in the year. Mine didn't come with a stand, so it moves from house to house, as and when people get annoyed with it...

Thanks for the helpful replies guys. As for the hardtop stand. I don't think I'll be needing it as such. I'm more of a hardtop person Will be looking forward to be picking up my s2k soon

all that'll change when you take it off for the first time.

I've retrofitted a hardtop fitting kit on all 3 of my S2000's

The side catchers can be done in 30 mins after a bit of practice

The tricky bit is the heated rear screen which i've never bothered with.

But I agree that it will cost more to do to to a non GT.
