Default Hardtop Storage

Quick question for you seasoned s2 owners. what is the best way to store and where do you store the hardtop for the summer months?

i asked the dealership this question when i went to sign the paperwork on thursday but they just said that honda have apparently stopped selling the hardtop stand and didnt really know what other people did.. not overly helpful really

you could get one on ebay or make yourself a winch and suspend it from the garage roof..

or buy one. not sure if this holds it at the right point to stop warping though

Subject to you having a garage of course

would you cover the roof up or just leave it?

i do have a garage but rluctant to put in three as i always leave the garage door open (dont worry its not the garage attached to the house)

is warping of the hood a big issue as well then?

Someone has made a stand out of plastic plumbing piping, there was a thread about it a while back. Looked quite good actually, with a bit of pipe insulation to protect the roof.

There is absolutely no way I could lift it on my own - only 5' 2 - would be too frightened of scratching the paint work or dropping it.

I've got to get my hard top off before The Lakes meet.
