Default Headlamp Washers

Having read the FAQ I checked the headlamp washers on my soon to be 54 plate. Surprise surprise we got drenched. I have read that the easiest way to disable is to pull the fuse, the question is which one and where is it located. I checked with Honda and they wanted £190 to modify the circuit. If I can disable for the time being, I will look at fitting a relay that will only allow them to wash when the headlights are on, but that for the future. If someone could help with fuse no and location I would be grateful.
Regards
Roger

This is apparently limited to the 04 models only, the 05's were fixed. There is a dealer bulletin that describes what to do, however as it was not a recall, and the car is out of warrantee, I'll have to sort it myself. Doesn’t seem too much of an issue, Ill just need to get hold of the wiring diagram for the 04 model.
However pulling the fuse seems the simplest way, and to be honest, im not really bothered whether they work, so may just leave the fuse out. Just need to find the fuse no and location.

This was posted by Eho a few months back:

The fuse is under the bonnet located near the battery, there are 2 fuse boxes there, the one you are looking for is in the smaller fuse box and the fuse should be the one closes to the front of the car (bottom left corner) IIRC it is pink colour.

I have taken the fuse out of mine so, if blue monster's fix doesn't work (and I'm sure it will), I will go out and take a photo of mine.

The first +04 cars didn't need the lights on
Some were modded by the dealers to interface to the lights.
IIRC +06 DBW cars had it interfaced from the factory.

Pull the fuse now!

My 06 required the headlights to be on before the washers would work.

Mine works without the headlights being on. I pulled the fuse out the day after I bought the car.
