My headlights on my 2006 car have been gradually deteriorating. It’s a low mileage car which has been garaged. Hasn’t had a lot of use with the headlights on due to being used on sunny days.
Ive searched the forums and it seems this is not so common, I have found a few cases on the US forums. Its suggested to be stress cracks, caused by the extreme heat from the headlights.
I have just about accepted that I need to buy some new OEM lamps to resolve this.
Before I do, have
others here had the same issue, and found any other solution?
Is it over the beam pattern area of the lights? If not i'd get them polished up and then regular wax / sealant. Mine ( 2004 car) had started to go that way but more like your right light than the left ... the left one looks weird.

If you've not seen the price of OEM light units yet and no, you can't buy the lenses seperately.
Thanks Fester, it's not over the beam pattern area, though does spoil the car for me. I didn't fancy baking my OEM lights like the chap in that thread, and of course he is still left with presumably an inferior quality aftermarket lens.
Having seen the price that used and often damaged headlights have been achieving on ebay, I was pleasantly surprised at the quote for a pair of new from Honda. So I decided to treat the old girl and ordered a new pair earlier today!
If you haven't done it before, slow and steady with a hairdryer works. Gentle even pressure to split them once the goop softens. The longest part of the job is digging all the old sealant out of the channel.
