Default Hello

been a lurker on here for so long and I thought it was about time I said hello.

This forum is great and provided my with so much info on the S.

Ive been dreaming of one since they launched and this year I fully intend on buying one.

So hello - and thanks for the many hours spent reading your posts.

Hi and welcome
You won't regret buying an S so long as you find a good one.
Took me 6 months to find a low mileage unmolested one, but it was worth the wait.

Thanks guys

I'm pretty handy with a spanner, so I don't mind buying a fixer-upper. I always find I connect more with a car if "it needs me".

I don't however have much of a nerve for bodywork, I'll do it if I have too!

Hopefully when the summer passes there will be a good choice out there.

Really want a yellow one though.

Yeah maybe. Hahahhahahha. Also there is the problem of carrying surfboards on or in an S?

I'll probably not end up with a whacky colour, they seem so far and few in the classifieds.

Plus as its a car I'm likely to keep for a long time I'd like to think it's look can evolve from one style to the next. Having silver it's timeless. But it won't stand out either which seems a shame for such a car.

I can fit my wakeboard in the passenger seat which is 142cm plus a longer bag - but always a choice between wife or board - not both a small board might fit but a Mal might start looking a bit silly https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/949...t__p__21664523

Well as cool as that is, trips to the beach would almost always mean wife and two dogs - so no S for those.

Plus I'm a midlander so the distance means I'll take the turboweasle on longer motorway trips.

But talking of space and long trips. If I'm looking at a GT with the hardtop and stand that is miles away - does the hardtop stand disassemble and fit into an S?

When I bought mine the stand ended up going in the Polo with seats down. In all honesty we didn't try to put the stand in the S but I doubt it would fit.
