Default Hello

I would like to say Hello 2 what looks like a fantastic forum! I have had some good advice from here which is far better then I can say from the Dealers, SC in particular.

A couple of months ago I bought a 2nd hand 2000 S Silver with Red Interior 61k. Fantastic car but after a month of hard driving, noises and issues start to show.

1) Spindle nut(s), Diagnosed of course by the forum, cheers guys!

2) Gear stick rattling, Again diagnosed by the forum, another pint on the way!

3) Car twitching, Due to different type tyres on the back, Continental Sport Contact 1 and 2 on either side. SO-2's arrive monday Once again, diagnosed by the forum, Another pint on the way!

However, today i noticed my most alarming noises yet, after scowling the forum, I couldnt find any similarities. Here is the problem:

PROBLEM: [I]When the car is warm (V-Tec'ed), I drop gears and get a clunking type sound going with the motion of the car. This only happens when the car is in gear, and the faster i go, the faster the clunk-clunk becomes. it seems its rotational with the wheels but I cant figure out whether its coming from the rear wheels or the transmission. I dont want to go to the stealers because they charged me

Just checked the wheels, They are tight. The wheels were off about 2 weeks ago but they are pretty tight at the moment. Its only just started today which is weird

best to take them off again and stick it back on to be totally sure and check your tyres as well. inner walls may have worn away?

could be a wheel bearing or could be your dodgy caliper?

Its definitely not the caliper as that got replaced with a new one, the noise, seems to be getting a bit earlier today , ie when the car isnt as warm. Something tells me something big is on the way out
