Default Hello!

Hello everyone just thought i would introduce myself!
my name is marc i own a silver 2002 S2000 with the red leather seats, i bought it in may and been loving it since i have wanted one for so long, and been saving for so long too haha but finaly ive got one, not bad for a 21 year old when most people my age are driving round a boring run of the mill cars ehh. i just brought the first item for my car, a privite numberplate, it says "M4KC U" the idea is im gonna put a couple of numberplate fixing screws at the the top of the K and it will look like an R so then it will say my name, pretty good dont you think!

anywho,
hello , Marc

ouch. 21yo. how the fudge u get insurance for that? alot of companies wont touch under 25yo's for group20 cars
must be costing you a fair whack.

i aint keen on the plate idea. i just think those with black bolts to change what their plate reads are just lame. each to their own though!

welcome to the community too!

cheers, yeah my insurance is very high but worth it. The thing is that plate is hardly gonna need any fiddling with the screws to make it look like my name thats why i went for that one, because i can see your point.

Er, no.

It's a recipe to get pulled.

Unless a plate says what you want it to say without you having to resort to naughtily placed screws, it's trying too hard.

But nevertheless, welcome!

I got S20 OCJ and have decided not to fiddle with the spacing - didn't want to give them an chance to pull me.

Hello anyway and happy driving - although let's be honest - in the S surely that's the only kinda driving

Welcome

I advise you not to tamper with your plates as you will probably find the DVLA will take it back if found guilty, not the best way to spend cash.
I had S200 DMR on my last S and spaced it S200D MR and often worried if i'd get pulled. I never did but mis spacing is not as bad as physically messing with the letters.

Its up to you but being 21 with a car like the S don't expect the rozzers to leave you alone, any small defect on your car and they will be on you like bees round a honey pot!!
