red badges
LOL... I don' like the red badges, they will be getting swiftly removed ( I take it they're just stuck on?) along with the horrid clear indicators that have been fitted...

The car was cheap at £5100 but it's not all good news :-(

Whilst going over the car with a fine tooth comb I noticed that she has had a paint job in the past. Now i'm normally very good at spotting this but I missed it on this occasion. There is nothing to say why the car has been painted, there are no obvious signs of crash damage on any of the panels and they all look original and straight...

I'm hoping that it's been a previous owner getting it touched up from scratches and stonechips or something... I suppose i'll never know.

Had her up on the ramps today trying to find the source of this mysterious knocking from the NSR. All the bushes and swingarms look in great condition with no excessive play anywhere, there's no play on the wheel bearings and the shocks don't have any apparent leaks. Exhaust mounts are fine and there is no knocking from that. I jiggled the proshaft and diff and there was no noise so i'm totally stumped!!

On the upside, underneath the car looked spot on with no sign of rust anywhere and very clean :-)

Checked the gearbox and diff oills and they seemed good with clean oil which leads me to think the bearings are going in the box :-(

I've just realised i'm waffling again, sorry :-)

Mark

Really?? Do you mean the side repeaters? I've got some orange ones if you want to swap (I'm in Norton), but usually the orange ones are one of the first things to go, hence why I have some spare.

haha, Clear side repeaters I don't mind but mine have a supertacky chrome base to them... looks like they came out of an ASDA value christmas cracker... I wouldn't give them to my worst enemy LOL :-)

I fancy some nice smoked versions...

Will also be looking to take off the HONDA badge above S2000 on the wings...

The JDMs didn't come with a Honda badge. They had the right idea.

I can vaguely make out what you mean about the lights from your pics now.

Thoughts are ....

1. Check hub nuts.
2. Check that brake pad anti rattle shims are in.
3. Check that spare wheel is bolted down securely.
4. Check that tool kit in the boot is all securely in place.

Thanks for tips...

1. All tight.
2. Not checked yet but it's more of a thud then a metallic noise.
3. Yup, screwed down nice and tight.
4. Sadly this is missing. Must contact previous owner regarding this.

Will look into topmounts and bumpstops next I think...

Thanks :-)

You can pick up tool kits on eBay - there are 3 from £38 - £60 at the moment
