so what woudl happen then if you had a front end smash and only needed to buy the front spoiler, surely honda woudl not make you buy two to cover themselves?
I put this very question to my stealer who said that they would have to order both parts in as they both came in under a single part number

What was even more astounding was the fact that he managed to keep a straight face through it all....

Thanks everyone for your replies. I might go with the buy both and sell the rear spoiler option, unless I see a different front spoiler I prefer........

What a load - threaten to cancel the order and see what they say then.

I've got the small OEM spoiler on mine and like it a lot, I think the rear looks unfinished without it.
If I were to buy another S it's the first thing I would fit.

It's all a matter of taste though.

State that if they do not sell the front spoiler as a single item, then Bassoctopus will be sent over to their forecourt, where he shall:

1. compile a list of all their used Hondas for sale
2. Create a column with the dealer price on
3. Create another column with the trade price on
4. Create a final column with HIS price on.

He shall then run around the forecourt with a big white pen, whistling the

Carper, I'm sending you the bill for a new laptop, after I just spat tea all over the keyboard of the current one on reading your post!

Neil H - thanks for the pics of the OEM. It looks good - better than the 2 Honda options in my opinion. I do really like the Veilside though, even better now I've discovered Nemesis are in Colchester which is very close to me, plus I know someone who used to work there (small world eh?)

Mikey - thanks for the link to the Mugen - very interesting, although I still prefer the Honda one. I've got a friend who works at my local Honda dealer in the parts/service section so I'm gonna speak to him at the weekend and see if he might get me just the front spoiler or alternatively a huge discount on both.

At this point I might add that I'm not getting my car locally, its coming from Berkshire as I know another friend in the business who's got the car on her staff discount for me and that was her nearest dealership so I'm kind of reluctant to start threatening cancelling the order as they know I won't get a better deal elsewhere.

Carper - Bassoctopus? Do I want to know what you are on about?

Probably not - but it is a common theme between me and any reader.

Bass will be on to explain, I'm sure.

Just remember the name, 'cos he's the one you'll have to pay hush money to when you come to sell your S on the forum in the future

Err, Nicki, OEM is the Honda spoiler. OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer!

The lower Honda spoiler is pretty inoffensive and not all THAT different to the Veilside one, in my view. I can see why you don't like the high "ironing board" spoiler though!
