Just leave it up, much less gay

Have you got the hand brake on and are not moving?

Tried it with engine off, but ignition on?

Might be worth locating the fuse for the soft top.

If it was the fuse, would that not stop it working in any direction?
My guess would be a bad connection at the switch or the switch itself is faulty (but it's only a guess!)

At the risk of being an ass, how do you know it goes down but won't come back up????

Can you manually get a top up once it is down?!

Presumably it went down and hasn't come back up since? So could be fuse?

Are the windows working?
Put them up and activate the roof switch as normal, do they move?

i've always assumed the reason for the 'handle' type crevasse on the top of the hood was for a hand so you could always pull it up if you lost electrics whilst it was down say, on the side of the road.

If it's not the fuse, try the sensor wires under the handbrake.

You are using the roof switch and not the volume control right?
Does the handbrake light illuminate when you put the break on??
