Default HELP! Installing a bluetooth parrot...

I was installing a bluetooth parrot that I got for my birthday, it all seemed to be going well, got everything in place and the parrot was working. Thought I better check the position of the microphone with the engine running, and it wouldn't start!

I pulled the stereo out again and unplugged everything - and it still wont start! Its making a kinda clicking noise when you press the starter button and the dash lights are dimmed when the key is in the ignition.

I've checked all the connections I can see under the dash that I might have knocked but its still not starting.

I have an aftermarket alarm but I'm pretty sure that when the imobilisor is on the starter button does nothing, as a pose to the clicking noise it is currently making.

I'm pretty sure its not a flat battery as the lights come on fine and are bright as always.

Anyone got any suggestions as at the moment the car is effectivley useless!!

Thanks

You may have blown a fuse somewhere given you've been doing some wiring! Best check them! Sound slike the starter motor is firing but no fuel pump. can you hear the fuel pump start when you turn the key on?

Try the fuel pump one. Either that or your battery really has gone? Seems a coincidence though...

I will go and check the fuses now, but the starter motor definatley isn't kicking in, what I can hear is an electrical clicking if you know what I mean...

Huh? Did I miss something?

I think it is the battery, so I've put it on charge.

Well you'd have made a quick dollar then! I was actually already on the way to me old man's house to get his charger when you posted that.

I've stuck a bit of charge in it now and tested it just now and it started first time. I'll leave it on charge for a bit longer this evening.

Thanks all!

I would now bet that it wont start next time

When they die they seem to really die! Get a new one or it will catch you out again!
