Default Help! Intermitent Chugging!

Ok so driving along as per normal, car warmed up about 15 mins into drive. Then i think oh no i have a flat tire? The car seems to be cugging along to that effect.

Get out and no flat tyre? Look to continue on my journey and th chugging has stopped? Starts again about 5 mins down th road and now i think it could just be me over reacting to the poor state of this particular stretch of road.

Following day again starts and drives fine. About 20 mins this time and th same thing. Could the wheel be buckled, then i think no as it would do it all the time?

There isnt a loss of power so to say althugh when it happens i dont dare push th car!!!!

Does anyone recognise these symptoms? I dont want to take it to a garage for them to try and diagnose an intermitent problem and then they replace everything it could 'possibly be'!!!

Let me know your thoughts.

cheers

"Chugging" usually means intermittant lose of power?, ie fuel starvation of a fault in the electrics although I would then think you would get a cel, when this happens next stop and see if any of the wheels are hot, this would indicate a sticky brake. Sorry not to have been more help.

There is always ALOT of brake dust on the front right alloy. Even after 1 run after cleaning.

When you feel the "chugging" get out (pull over first) and check all the wheels to see if there is one red hot. Easy way to rule out binding brakes...

Mine did it and the rear off side was the culprit..... then the front off side...... then the rear near side, all conveniently spaced 2 months appart :0)

I still have my old ones for reconditioning (1x front LH or RH & 1x rear LH) if you would like to make an offer, PM me ;0)
