You know me after messing on with so many S's I've found a few different ways of doing things!

Anyway at least the pic will help any one to decide their own route.
I have to say I prefer the bumper off purely because I took the oppurtunity to fill the holes and get is sprayed.

I removed the front bumper as per instructions I found on here, I filled the two holes left with 13mm grommets and painted them with a touch up stick, I fitted the plate using plastic screws specially for number plate fitting (black/yellow bolts) they screw directly into the steel fittings in the bumper. Just watch that if the stealers have screwed the plate into the surround that a smaller plate will cover them, I need to source some trim pins to suit since I'm sporting a 3/4(roughly) plate on the front, again with no problems from old bill.
