Default And here she is....

Hi,

Well i thought after searching for so long for my S2K, and ive had it 2 weeks now i'll finally put some pictures up.

im so chuffed with it, it is in absolutely pristine condition. The guy i bought it off said its not been in the rain for 3 years, possbily I'd believe him after going over the car. Anyway enough of me going on I'll let the pictures do the talking.....

f@#k the wind deflector. You'll end up with something too tall and flimsy that it'll rattle like crazy and give you grief. OEM is fine. Put a sticker on it if you want though.

Your other mods being induction and stereo sound good. I'm a K&N man and it's provided plenty of smiles over the past two years. I hear the AEM V2 is even better and as for the PRM, ask earls_f20c (Lee)... It's like an orchestra underneath your bonnet.

BTW, I wish I had that interior. :jealous: If you ever fancy swapping for all black, let me know.

Come to some NW meets, seeing as you're in North Wales.

Well i was going to go AEM v2 but im a bit worried about hydrolocking. So probably look at the K&N Gen 2 aka FIPK.

Yeah i'd be up for that mate, where do you normally have the NW meets? A few of my best mates have Civic Type R's and ugring the S2k so ill bring them along too.

You'd need to drive through a river to hydrolock so I'm told, but I'm with you paranoia-wise, hence the K&N FIPK.

Come along to a meet. Here's that last one (Wednesday gone):

You're more than welcome and you'll learn loads if you don't already know.

Thats not far from me at all really say 45 min drive. Gutted i missed that i'd of defo come otherwise.

I've had many Honda's before DC5, EP3 and FN2 all type R's but this is my first S2K.

In terms of the K&N and AEM from what ive read the power increase is pretty similar like 4bhp and the noise is great from both I hear too.

Forget 'gains'. Leave that to the Yanks to argue over. There IS NO GAIN, other than what you can hear (which is what it's all about) and what your butt dyno tells you. There was yet another thread about induction recently...

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/103...ld-air-intake/

From what I KNOW in the past two years of owning and enjoying my lovely S2000, 'gains' can only be had through many basic mods COMBINED, but moreso through forced induction, ie. supercharger or turbo.

The biggest 'gain' I know of, and of which I'm yet to experience first hand, is driver tuition on a track. Until then, I'll be careful, no matter how confident I feel.
