Default He's forgotten his S2000!

A fellow enthusiast has ben preparing for delivery of his SL55 on New Year's day and in this dialogue from another forum where he lists his cars (at least those he can remember) he's forgotten to mention his S2000. Maybe, 'cause it's the wife's car, or he's recently sold it. Reg by the way is/was S2000

It's kinda hard to get decent pictures as the garage is pretty cramped, and it's winter so the cars aint out much.

Here's a quick pic I took. 9 Hrs till the first SL drive...

DVLA assured me S2 OOO is non starter, they will not do three O's apparently.

Thus must have been OOD etc.

S 2000 MAY BE ASSIGNED TO A CAR, VAN, HEAVY GOODS VEHICLE, MOPED OR MOTORCYCLE OF ANY AGE.

Hmmmmmm.....think I'll snap it up and put it on my friends Piaggio scooter

Seriously though..........are they correct about it being possible to put 'S2000' on a vehicle of 'any age' - I thought there where strict rules about not making the vehicle appear younger than it actually is. If this really is 'S2 OOO' I would have thought that it would be illegal to put it on any pre S-reg. vehicle (yes, yes, yes, I know this is purely academic as there is only 1 sensible home for the plate, but it is Friday afternoon )

The plate is S 2000 (3 zero's). From what I can see you can slap this on a vehicle of any age as there is no year identifier. Year identifier plates asaik are letter(s) number(s) letter(s).

On the plus side, if you don't have the cash, finance is available

As mentioned before, seal, that is one cracking set of previous cars

I suspect he's sold the car and trying to sell the reg. The DVLA site has changed in the last few weeks because you used to be able to check the price plates had gone through the auction for and S2000 was definitely there. He has quite a few numbers 911 GT on the GT2 was bought at auction for

Ok, DVLA no longer issue three O's (rather than zero's).

Still suspicious!
