I'm not one for going to the dealer for anything other than services, as I dont trust them to not just say I need an entire headlamp unit at several hundred pounds when a bulb would have done. If it looks like I cant do it , I'll take it to a local mechanic that I trust.
We might see you at the electrocuted wing some soon then.

The truth is Honda didn't sell as many S2000's as they'd hoped. Being cheaper than its rivals and yet selling less means the S2000 'Financially' was unsuccessful (for Honda).

They didn't release patterns for parts and hence can charge ridiculous prices to make up for the short falls in sales. This is the price we pay for being relatively exclusive.

HID kits have long been available cheaply. Not sure if anyone has ever looked into fitting after market ones to S2000 lights?!

Just removed the oldl bulb, did it in the dark , so couldnt take any pictures, but its pretty straight forward. heres a brief rundown, but it exactly as per the service manual that someone posted on this thread earlier.

1. disconnect battery
2. if changing the left bulb, remove collant expansion tank, it just slides out no tools required.
3. Look in the hole in the wing and you'll see the back of the headlight unit, in the middle you'll see a grey circular'ish piece of plastic with warning stickers all over it, and an electrical connector clipped to it. This is the connector for the ballast, unplug the ballast from the main loom, and unclip the ballast connector from this grey cover.
4. Using the torx bit (tamperproof T25, available as a set from maplin for about
