Default HKS exhaust

i have just got my HKS that i bought from dan via ebay, thanks very much.

just need to know can i get gaskets for these from anywhere, as i spoke to TDi in Barking who supplied it, and they said they would need to order some in, that will take four weeks........... very helpful. not.

would the gaskets be standard ones ? that i can get from a exhaust dealer/fitter when they fit the thing or have i got to have the ones from TDI ? somebody must know.

cheers

GSi bought my HKS from me and had it fitted by his local stealer - I can't remember whether Rob sourced the gaskets himself locally or just got the stealer to supply them, but either way it was no great problem and from memory cost him very little.

Can't help with specific problem but I got my HKS supplied and fitted by TDI a little while ago and they were fine. However, they are about to move premises and so are clearing out all their stocks.........hence may be reason why they have to order these parts in........not sure.

I got the gaskets from a local parts place - Leamoco - they were just standard ones. Get a bit of paper, and make a template (including the bolt and exhaust holes) and they should be able to find you one. I took them a broken in two rusty gasket to compare to.

You need 3 IIRC of the 2 bolt ones and the 3 bolt one on the front fits to the CAT pipe so Honda can supply. p.s - Honda can supply the bolts you need FOC.

Enjoy

Worst case, use gasket sealant or look at the exhaust, buy some gasket paper and make them yourself.
